Dollar access
Fragmented or restricted pathways to receive, hold, convert and deploy USD.
A Tefa Initiative in Development
Financial infrastructure for global participation
Alasan is being developed by Tefa to help qualified emerging-market businesses connect more effectively to U.S. commerce, from dollar access and cross-border transactions to trade, productive assets, financing readiness and long-term growth.

The problem
Many viable SMEs can bank locally yet still struggle to receive and deploy U.S. dollars, pay international suppliers, establish cross-border commercial credibility, acquire productive equipment, and translate transaction history into access to capital.
Fragmented or restricted pathways to receive, hold, convert and deploy USD.
Payments, suppliers, documentation and market access are spread across disconnected providers.
Strong businesses often lack the verified financial history lenders and investors need.
SMEs can identify machinery and technology but struggle to structure and finance acquisition.
The Alasan model
Alasan is designed as more than a payment app. The long-term platform vision connects four layers of an SME's journey into the dollar economy.
Receive · Hold · Convert · Pay
Buyers · Suppliers · Invoices · Trade documentation
Equipment · Technology · Productive assets · Procurement
Financial readiness · Working capital · Equipment and trade finance pathways
What we are building
Alasan's first focus is the emerging-market SME trying to do business with America. Rather than rebuilding commodity banking rails, the initiative will explore partnerships with regulated banks, payment providers, FX providers and local financial institutions while Alasan develops the differentiated commercial layer.

Partner with us
Tefa is seeking conversations with regulated financial institutions, payment and FX infrastructure providers, fintech technology partners, development-finance organizations, foundations, impact investors, trade institutions, researchers and prospective pilot-market partners.
Current stage: Concept development, feasibility, regulatory architecture, partner mapping and pilot design.
Initial development target: A staged 24-month program moving from feasibility to a controlled pilot.
This is a proposed development pathway, not a commitment to launch, funding confirmation or regulatory approval.
Alasan is an initiative in development. It is not currently a bank, deposit-taking institution, money transmitter, lender, broker-dealer, or investment adviser. Features described on this page are part of the development vision and will be subject to regulatory approvals, licensed partners, country eligibility and final product design.
